General Membership Meeting
January 20, 2007 1:00 pm
Called to order 1:05 pm by Dick Kapash. OMA Board Attendees: Dennis Furby, Bob Bell, Chuck Chamberlain, Dick Kapash and David Shaw.
Dick introduced the Board of Directors and asked the members to introduce themselves.
Presentations:
Rob Clark, North Bay Water District, gave a budget report. He discussed the generator enclosure replacement, pump replacement and up-grading roads near the ponds.
John Brazina, Estero Mutual Water Association, presented outline of operations. He said there may be a small rate increase. The current number of hook ups is 132-133. There can be as many as 171-172. He explained the cause of the discolored water that some people noticed around Thanksgiving weekend.
Dunmore Communities representative discussed the Parcel K development progress. Cal-Water has sent proposals for desaltration system as a way to cover the water needs for Parcel K and other lots waiting for water. No permits have been requested for Parcel K at this time.
Tomales Fire Station Chief, Joe Hodges and Captain Rick Wanmerburger introduced themselves and encouraged people to call them when needed.
Financial Report:
Bob Bell submitted the Budget Summary and reviewed the Budget for 2006-07.
Design Committee Report:
Chairman Chuck Chamberlain presented projects under review and current Design Review meetings.
Road, Traffic and Drainage Report:
Dennis Furby explained current conditions of the roads, drainage and erosion were good thanks to Dale Holmes and other people.
Nominations for the Board:
Dennis Furby gave a brief review of the process of nominations and election of directors because of changes voted into our By-laws at the last membership.
Community Relations:
Dick Kapash thanked Pam Welling for her commitment to community relations and the success of the newsletter she produces, Dillon Beach Light.
Member Forum:
Candy McCorkell discussed problems arising from rental houses and violations of the CC&R's. She would like to consolidate the CC&R's to clarify the restrictions into a handout that would make it simpler to enforce the rules. Cand also reported about the Coastal Commssion meeting she attended and supplied copies of an article from the LA Times.
Dick Kapash explained the membership roster Opt-out forms once again.
Bob Bell was asked by representatives from the Tomales Town Hall to ask if anyone would like to donate for their handicap access improvements.
The next membership meeting is set for July 21, 2007. The meeting adjourned at 3:34 pm.
