Board Meeting Minutes

May 19, 2007

Called to order at 9:10 By Dennis Furby, Vice President in Dick Kapash absence.  

Attendees:  

Board members:  Dennis Furby, David Shaw, Dave Oxford, Robert Southard.  Absent:  Dick Kapash, Chuck Chamberlain, Bob Bell.

Security: Dale Holmes

Review and Approve Minutes:

Minutes for April 14 meeting were not approved since absent Board members had not reviewed them by email before the meeting.

Safety Report:  

Dale Holmes: Spartan Security will be present for 3 day weekends with some extra days to allow Dale to have days off.

Members Forum:  

None

Treasurer's Report:

Bob Bell submitted report by E-mail for the Board to review.

Discussion in evaluation of EBMC

Design Review:  

Chuck Chamberlain was not available for Design Review Committee activities.

Reviewed questions about setbacks 46 Kailua.

Debris pile at 35 Kona.  The owner was called and problem has been addressed.

No new Design submittals / none received.

Tree trimming policy reviewed letters from owners with dispute on Kona and Oceana.

A letter was received requesting the board remind home owners that Pampas grass, Scotch Broom and other invasive grass and shrubs should not be planted.  Discussion followed that the planting of trees must be approved through the Design Review Committee. Dennis will pass this information on to Pam Welling, author of The Dillon Beach Light.

Parcel L is starting site improvements.  Dennis will follow up on lot # and membership requirements.

Roads Traffic Drainage:

Dale has talked to someone about looking at the trees in the common area to evaluate their condition.

The owners of 459 Oceana were talked to about the pothole in front of their house. Their contractor has been contacted and is responding.

Other business:

Functions and representatives for OMA web site will be sent on to Alan

Dennis will be calling people to be guest speakers at the July Home Owners meeting

An agenda will need to be produced along with disclosure  statements for Members Meeting

Dale will be doing a yard waste pick-up the following day.   

Correspondence:

Letter from owners with tree issues.

Next Meeting:  

9:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2007 in the OMA office.

Executive Session:    None required  

There being no further business, Dennis Furby adjourned the May Board meeting at 10:48 AM.
